Salicorne 2010

On the 13th of May the race called Salicorne took place not that far way from the well known Le Touquet town. You can compare this race with other races like Transbaie, or Trans'Authie: same distance, same area, same conditions: each race crosses a river: the Transbaie is crossing the Somme river, the Trans'Authie, the Authie, and the Salicorne, the Canche. It's a lot of fun, especially when running through heavy mud.
It was my first try for this race, and it's really a great race, trust me; like the others you don't feel the kilometers: always distracted by the landscape, or just by where you should put your feet! I even found myself with water up to my chest. The water was somehow cold but you get used to it along the way; we fortunately got sunny weather. I'm really looking forward to running it again.
Some numbers:
rank: 127 / 800 finishers
rank: 64 among senior men
time: 01:21:49
